25 Mar Press Release: Journey to Teach in Kenya
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THE COMMONWEALTH INITIATIVE GOES GLOBAL
FOUNDER/PRINCIPAL JOURNEYS TO KENYA TO TEACH ENTERPRISING YOUTH
CHICAGO, IL – March 25, 2016 As a part of an expansion move to create strategic partnerships nationally and internationally, Brian D. Johnson, founder and principal of The CommonWealth Initiative (CWI) will be taking his firm to Nairobi, Kenya from April 23 – May 4, 2016 to educate budding youth entrepreneurs in the foundations of financial knowledge: savings, financial planning, investing, wealth building, international markets, and estate management. Mr. Johnson was invited by Fursa-Opportunity, a community based organization nurturing youth for success through hands-on, action-oriented lessons in entrepreneurship, education, agriculture, tourism and community volunteering. Fursa-Opportunity chose Mr. Johnson based on his success in business and finance at an early age: purchasing multiple real estate properties, operating his own tee shirt company, and making several lucrative security investments while in his twenties.
Brian is excited about taking this move toward growing his CWI brand: “My vision for The CommonWealth Initiative has always been to take financial planning to the world and also be able to give back to communities. This opportunity allows me to do both. I am proud to be able to educate youth in Africa. I look forward to increasing and leading these type of knowledge-and-thought sharing experiences for myself and CWI.”
The CommonWealth Initiative takes basic money management principles and merges them with its customized financial coaching services, where the focus is placed on the client from a very detailed, holistic approach. The CommonWealth Initiative takes a professional supportive approach to money management in order to bridge the gap between financial chaos and financial independence.
Brian D. Johnson has acquired over 15 years of finance, compliance, and investment banking experience working at such firms as Morgan Stanley, Wachovia Securities (now Wells Fargo), and other financial institutions. Brian is driven by what he sees as his responsibility to promote financial change: one portfolio, one person, and one community at a time.
